Hello fellow MTTC members,

Since we are now in need of a new facility, one of the places that came to mind was the American Tin Cannery next to the Aquarium in PG. I can go by there next week to see if there is any possibility of using some empty retail space there. They have a lot of empty space, that they are not getting any revenue from now. I used to manage a store there, and there may be some people in the office that are still there that I know.

I looked at the Pacific Grove Youth Center today on Laurel Street in PG. The space is about 1700 square feet -- all open area with good lighting. There are two beat up Kettler tables already there and plenty of space to store spare tables. Recommend Gil and YJ take a look at it. We could try and negotiate a reasonable rental rate. Don Mothershead -- the rec director -- is pretty reasonable.

There are two senior table tennis tournaments coming up (for those 50 and older): The National Senior Games will be held at Stanford University in August and can be viewed at www.nsga.com. The World Senior Games will be held in October in St. George, Utah, and can be viewed at www.huntsmangames.com. They are really fun, and well worth the effort. CT

Hi Everyone,

Next Tuesday, 5/26, Gil and I are going to Santa Cruz to play. We would like to invite anyone who would be interested to go along. It will be fun to go as a group, and play some different players with different styles. If anyone would like to ride with me they would be welcome. I can take two.

Gil, if money's a problem, you should try to get a conversion top, at least temporarily, until you can find something more permanent. I think they sell them at Costco really cheap nowadays.

Wow! I am glad to hear of so many in our club going to the Sacramento tournament! Tomorrow, 9/18, I am heading up to the SC club to play some varied styles. If you are going to the tournament, you might want to consider this too. I can take one person with me if anyone is interested. Playing people you are not used to playing is good prep for he tournament! hm ph 655-3033
